The Konno and Ohmachi (1998) smoothing id defined by the following function: Failed to parse (MathML with SVG or PNG fallback (recommended for modern browsers and accessibility tools): Invalid response ("Math extension cannot connect to Restbase.") from server "https://wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/":): {\displaystyle \frac{\sin(\log_{10}(\frac{f}{f_c})^b)}{((\log_{10}(\frac{f}{f_c})^b)^4}} , where:

  • f is the frequency
  • fc is the central frequency
  • b is the bandwidth coefficient.

As the Konno and Ohmachi smoothing function preserves the different number of points at low and high frequency, it use is strongly recommended for works on frequency analysis.

Konno and Ohmachi smoothing is recommanded because this function preserves the different number of points at low and high frequency
